Missing Periods. Blood Tests Done, Having Infection. What Could This Be?

my menses has not come. this is the 40th day. I went to the doctor and these are the results.
PUS cell +++
leukocytes 5-10 hpf
I dont know why my menses has delayed. Could it be the infection i have?. I had tis same issue 5 years ago and for months i did not see my period but after some years it regulated and i became pregnant in 2010. Please let me know what is going on. Thanks and waiting.

Hi and welcome to HCM!
Thanks for posting your query here.
The results you are saying about are of urine analysis i think. The presence of pus cells and leukocytes nearly 10 shows a state of pyuria. It is a sign of bacterial urinary tract infection. Urine culture and sensitivity will give you the microorganisms causing the infection and the drug to be used. If there are no bacterial growth from the culture it is called as sterile pyuria. This needs a further evaluation. The reason for absence of periods for some months and restoring again is not mentioned. What was the diagnoses at that time?-thyroid or ovarian or uterine conditions?
The present condition may or may not be related to the delayed periods. Are you on any birth control? What is your age?
Please provide a complete information. For the time being an ultrasonogram and blood work will help you in finding the cause. Please consult a gynae for further management.
Thanks
