hi i am sewta . i am missing my periods from last 15 days . my periods date is 1 st may but still my period is not started yet . i had tested by pregnancy test kit two times it show negative both time. but period is not come till today. sir plz advise me that either i am pregnant or not . if not pregnant then why periods are so late.
Hello Thanks for your query. If your pregnancy test is negative, you are mostly not pregnant. Other causes of a missed period are - anxiety, stress, emotional upheavals, hectic and frequent travelling, rapid changes in weight, ingestion of hormonal medications, etc. Hypothyroidism, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometrial pathology - all could cause delayed periods too. Please consult a Gynecologist to know the exact cause of delayed periods and for exact treatment. Take care.
First of all, you need to undergo blood test for beta-hcg to confirm your pregnancy.
In exclusion of pregnancy, other reasons are hormonal imbalance, ovarian cyst, over wt/ loss, irregular diet habit, stress/ anxiety, thyroid disturbance etc.
Here, you need to consult with gynecologist for relevant investigation like pelvic ultrasound, hormone assay etc and take suggestive measures accordingly.
All the best.
