Moving And Floating Lumps Under The Skin On Lower Back. Overweight, Frequent Weight Lifts. Reason For Lumps?

On my lower back about 4 inches to the right of my spine is a lump that is deep under the skin. This lump moves around and is floating. There is another lump on the left that does the same thing. I use to weigh about 290 lbs 5 years ago, and when I joined the army I loss weight to about 190 in 2 years. I got out and have been lifting weights frequently powerlifting and currently weigh about 245 and have a 19 inch neck and wear 34 in jeans. So those are my stats my question is what could those lumps be?

Hi,
Welcome & thanks for posting your query to HCM.
After reading your query it appears to be lipomas which are benign fatty collections formed by collection of fat. These lumps can be easily moved and on touching or moving will not cause pain. These remain in the same position and size for years and they will not cause any danger. Some times these increase in size and number and can cause bit compression symptoms. These lumps never turns into any type of cancerous growth so you should be rest assured regarding the same. These also do not have any correlation with your weight loss.
If you want to get them removed then should meet a surgeon / Dermatologist who can excise them in few minutes of time.
Hope this information will help you.
