Hello Sohail...
The symptoms as mentioned in your post may be attributed to the adverse effects of chronic smoking. Prolonged smoking causes mild to severe inflammation of the mucus lining of the respiratory tract, resulting in increased production of mucus in the nose and throat.

Other causes of increased mucus may be due to:
1. Allergic response to smoke, fumes or any food product.
2. Respiratory tract infection.
3. Physiological problems in nose or throat.

Management includes:
1. Avoid smoking
2. Gargle with warm salt water
3. Maintain adequate hydration & avoid consuming foods that can increase mucus production.

If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult an ENT specialist for further management.
There is no need to worry...you will be fine.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks & take care.
