I have muffled/fullness in my right ear. No pain. Hearing is diminished and intermittent facial numbness. On prednisone, crafting, and Flonase without relief. Any other suggestions? Recently treated for URI and sinus infection with levaquin and prednisone.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of Muffled/fullness in right ear with diminished hearing and intermittent facial numbness is because of ear infection, ear wax accumulation and because of some other infection like sinusitis through Eustachian tube and leads to temporary hearing loss .The condition is called recurring otitis media. This is something you should be highly concerned about. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist and start treatment by taking antibiotic (amoxicillin) course. Doctor may perform cleansing of ear and treat infection like sinusitis if it is there. you should give warm compresses to ear 2-3 times a day ,use ear drops containing antibiotics(if you have) and take rest. Apply ice compressors on face to relieve swelling and numbness.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
