My 11 Year Old Down Syndrome Child Has A Red

My 11 year old down syndrome child has a red area on his eye but no discharge. I have both gentamycin for pink eye and pataday for allergy and inflamation. His ped is out the next few days. Can i use one ofhis meds or do i need to take him to urgent care.
