My 14 Years Old Sons Blood Sugar Is 365

why is my 14yr old son s blood sugar is 365 right now ? he take s 4 shots a day r n and metformin, the school nurse insists he didn t take his shots or his meds this morning, no one was home to watch, he says he took it, but, he did eat alot of carbs this morning, can it be that high it he did take the right amount ? I ve got a call into his dr right now. He is type 1 not overweight, big for his age 5 11 and he see s an endo at childrens hosp in dc

Type 1 diabetes occurs when the pancreas fails to make enough insulin. Make sure he follows 3 things always.. DIABETIC DIET, regular EXERCISE, and most important of all.. daily INSULIN doses. Do not compromise on these he will land up into complications. He needs counselling to be more responsible towards his health.
