My 9 Year Old Nephew Was Bitten By A Dog.

My 9 year old nephew was bitten by a dog. Hospital stitched him and gave antibiotics. His PCP saw him on the 3rd day and sent him to a Children's Hospital. He was there for 3 days and multiple antibiotics with Vancomycin IV for 1.5 days then they took the If out and sent him home on Sulfa and Cipro by mouth. Then they called 2 days later and said none of the antibiotics he's taking will work because the C&S shows growth of Klebsiella, a vary rare infection so now back to the hospital with the possibility of a PICC line. ARE there other Routes verses the PICC line?
