My boyfriend went in and had a bronchoscopy done this morning. He's been coughing for two months and they haven't seemed to find what is causing his shortness of breath, the coughing, and recent pain in his lungs he says. His doctor ordered a bronchoscopy and When he returned, this is when things got super bad fast. he was shaking and couldn't breathe and spitting up blood. I phoned 911. After tests and X-ray they said he has pneumonia now! I don't believe it was a pneumonia before he went in. I believe that thing going down his throat, and a weakened emune system, caused an immediate infection in his lungs.
They also said he has no fluid in his lungs? Which is odd, I thouught. They sent him home after two hours.
& He still is having a hard time breathing, plus he's coughing after every word, when he speaks. And his words don't even make sense. I'm very worried. My 2 questions are, would it be dangerous for him to use a ventilator inhaler ? (It was my dads, but he never used it it is new unused nd still to date) if he is having a hard time breathing? If he shouldn't , than what could I do to help him until the ambulance gets here again?
This is not normal. I'm so worried about his health. #2. Is it likely that he got pneumonia from the bronchoscopy entering his lungs? Maybe not being cleaned properly? Or how about a broken equptment? They called him the day before to cancel his appointment. they said the machine wa broken. My boyfriend said " no you can't! I need to know, I'm dying here! I've been waiting for 4weeks" then they just said, ok, the doctor said we will go ahead with your appointment. He is 45. And I have so many concerns after thinking how many people's throats it's been down. And what if it was broken? Or not cleaned good enough?
Are all cancers , contagious? If so how contagious?
Thank you for your time. Feel free to load me up with as much useful information that could help me help him
I just want him back to normal. :))
