My cousin gave birth to a baby boy Lon Thursday. When the baby was born he had the umbilical cord around his neck and did not cry. The doctors say he had asfixia and has been in an incubator since birth. He had his first meal yesterday at mid night and has been holding down the food since. He's still in an incubator but doctors say everything is good and he is responding very well. My cousin is going to be discharged tomorrow, but the baby has to stay. How long will he have to stay in the incubator? What are his changes of having no permanent damage?
