My Daughter Had Swelling Of The Vains From The Waist

My daughter had swelling of the vains from the waist down and it is a rare disease and I can't remeber the name of it. They named it after a mans name. Causes stomach pain and bruising of the legs. It was so bad my daught almost couldn't walk. She was 1 year old when she got it. The said it may come back. They also said there is not much they can do to help and to wait til it goes away. Can you help me find out the medical name of this disease? It also looks like red rashes at first and then turns to bruising.
