My Daughter Has Been Experiencing Bad Headaches And Vomiting, Please Help Her

My 4 year old daughter has been experiencing headaches off and on for the past couple of months, at first I associated it with the need to have the heat on in the house and everything being so dry so have been keeping a humidifier going in her room at night, but recently the headaches have been waking her up at night and causing vomiting. There is no family history of migraines, headaches etc. It s a Friday night so we are going to try to have her checked Sat. if we can, I am getting more and more concerned :(

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
Headaches with vomiting especially at night is not a sign to be taken lightly. Does she have difficulty in walking in straight line, any visual disturbances. You need to get her examined by a Paediatrician to rule out possible brain tumors as when there is high pressure in the brain, headache and vomiting usually results. Keep your child well hydrated. If she is having headache, she can have syrup pain killers under medical supervision till you consult her Doctor. Do not delay.

Hi. I suffer from migraines and headaches also. To be honest you say your daughter vomits, that's actually nausea and nausea plays a part with migraine and headache. Too much heat can trigger so i recommend you turn the heat down. Also watch what she's eating as their are certain foods etc that trigger such as cheese, chocolate, swet snacks, citrus fruits. Lack of sleep, delayed or missing meals, travel, fluid retenion. If she gets this on and off very frequetly and lasts for 24-72 hours this is a migraine and it's time to see the doctor.
