My Daughter Has Been Suffering With What Seems To Be

My daughter has been suffering with what seems to be a hormonal imbalance for a long time. When reading it appears to be like PMDD. She has extreme emotions at 1 week out from period with extreme bouts of depression. When her period begins, it is heavy bleeding, lots of clots and extreme cramps. She is nonfunctional. She started college last Fall and in the spring we put her on birthcontrol ( microgestin) she became severely depressed and did not leave her dorm. Function was low but initially, we did not suspect the pills could cause the depression. She bled for about 60 plus days and she stopped the pills and the depression lifted quite a bit. She was still experiencing pain and a new OBGYN gave her Yaz. The first month in we saw some irritability and depression again and I insisted she stop because she seemed very low and desperate. Years ago she was on Safaryl BCP and after a year she seemed to get more agitated so she stopped. It seems like there is no answer and she is only good about 10 days per month. The depression is getting so bad she has lost interest in many things. She has somne good days but mostly she is in so much discomfort or other thing that seem to relate to her hormonal cycle.
