My Daughter Has Been Treated With Imatinib For Ten Years

My daughter has been treated with imatinib for ten years now (for CML.) Her bilirubin levels have been high for a long time but have now doubled from 32 to 64. Her consultant says that as her molecular response has been ( and is) excellent, he is not worried about the high bilirubin but we have just seen a different doctor who has ordered my daughter to cease the imatinib immediately. I will talk to our usual consultant when he returns from leave but what do you think about the new advice? (My daughter is aged 26 years.)

Thanks.
