My Ear Feels Like There Is Cotton In It. My

My ear feels like there is cotton in it. My hear sounds muffled in it. I was at the doctors for a phys. And when she checked my ears she said one was red inside,it was fine at that time used the drops she prescribed and I quit them because my ear became sore. There is a sore spot which felt like a pimple??? Not sure? They also cleaned them out didn't get much out, but it feels like there is something in there. Any suggestions?
