My Fiance Has Diabetes, Should I Be Worried ?
I ve known he has had diabetes but my mom doesnt feel 100% about me marrying him because of that .. I been really stressing it out just because of what she has been telling me and how dangerous it can be for him and in the future and how it can even cause to death ... i love him with everything but is it something i should be worried about or is my mom just being a mom and overreacting?

Diabetes is not his fault, and doesn't actually incapacitate him in any way.
He needs to commit to being responsible about it, he will always go to the doctor, take care for his blood sugar levels etc. When he is vigilant and responsible about keeping his diabetes in check, he won't keel over and die tomorrow. Diabetes is inconvenient, not life-destroying.
Practically nobody has 100% perfect health, nor do they retain their perfect health through their entire lives. Your mom is concerned for your longterm happiness, which is nice and all, but if she's saying this is a basis for dumping the guy, she's definitely overreacting. As long as he's committed to keeping himself as healthy as he can, there's no reason to dump an otherwise-excellent guy over his blood sugar levels.

Diabetics with Controlled blood sugar- can just lead a normal and healthy life. Like others.
Of course there are risks, but proper cure and treatment- will suffice all the problems.

who knows what illness is awaiting in future........and discarding marriage on just one ground wont be ethical.... u shud weigh either side....ur mom is also not incorrect ..bcoz there are certain hard truths also esp if both parteners r diabetic or their parents have diabetes.........there are more chances of passing this to next generation.........BUT ONE CAN ALWAYS LIVE A NORMAL LIFE UNDER GOOD LIFESTYLE AND Dr GUIDANCE ....though there is always a poorer side with both parteners being diabetic........BUT EVERYTHING IS FAIR IN ....L..
