My Husband Had A Stroke In 2011. He Lost His

My husband had a stroke in 2011. He lost his right carodid artery. He just had a dobbler because I notice such a change in his behavior and was called today by his neurologist that his one and only right carodid arterty is blocked with an opening. I'm waiting for a surgeon to call me. The stroke he had caused brain damage. We moved to Fl. a year ago. It was his dream. I'm dealing with new Dr's and must admit I am scared. Our lives changed so much after his first stroke. My question is if he has surgery with one artery already, I need to know how dangerous this is. Should I send for his family to come here. Thank you.
