My Husband Had Severe Gallbladder Pain A Month Ago, Multiple

My husband had severe gallbladder pain a month ago, multiple times and they removed the gallbladder, laproscopically. Surgeon said it was gangrenous and they could only safely remove 90 percent. Last week extreme pain started again, multiple times to hospital. We had MRCP done - report said cyst in remaining part of gallbladder and one in cystic duct. Also an ultrasound one - we do not have copy of that report. Today he had and ERCP done. Report said stone (not stones) passed spontaneously. He is still in extreme pain. Question - Is pain from procedure or could the remaining stone cause the pain or cause further issues at a later date.
