My Kid Hit Her Head, Close To The Temporal Artery. Should I Be Concerned?

My 3 1/2 year old fell off the bed and hit her forehead on the corner of the side table. It is close to the temporal artery. She bled crazy and we put pressure. She has a small deep scar from the indentation of the table. She acts normal. Do I need to bring her to the doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are some indications for CT scan after a minor head injury. The presence of one or more of the following may indicate a CT is needed: (1) headache
(2)vomiting
(3)age greater than 60
(4)drug and alcohol toxication
(5)seizure
(6)memory loss
(7)loss of short term memory
(8)visible trauma above the clavicle

If she is not experiencing any of these relevant symptoms then she does not see her doctor.
If any of these are present then she may need to see someone.

I hope this helps
