My Left Outer Ear, Tragus Area, Has Been Hurting For

My left outer ear, tragus area, has been hurting for the last few days, and twice when I have applied pressure to it, it feels like something has popped inside of it. There is an immediate burning sensation for about a minute, and then it's ok.
I have had a sinus drainage over the last few days, but it is getting better. I have never had the tragus area to hurt like this before however. Is that normal to have a burning sensation after a feeling of something popping inside of it?
