My Mom Is 100. She Has Dementia, Manifested For About

My mom is 100. She has dementia, manifested for about a year. She has had infrequent instances of aphasia. She fell yesterday and hit her head on the left temple, just above her eyebrow. She was checked at the hospital and all tests were negative. She was released. But since the fall, she has been speaking almost all jibberish. Do you think this may be a result of damage from the fall, or more likely from the trauma of the fall, ambulance, and six hours in the hospital?
