My Mom Was Seen In The ER Last Night For

My mom was seen in the ER last night for what was thought to be a heart attack. It turns out, the hospital doc did not feel it was related to cardiac issue at all and requested a chest x ray. The xray showed a spot on her lung but they couldn't tell if it was a mass or pneumonia/infection. She refused a CT scan. She has been experiencing pain in her upper back where the spot was detected and she also has elevated D Dimer as well as high blood pressure. Is this likely to be lung cancer or infection?
