she has to take small and ferquent meals to avoid sudden increase in the blood glucose after heavy meals. no heavy meals, like wise no starvation, content of the food should be less in fat, sugars and oils and more of fibers and proteins. regular exercise in diabetics will help the digestive and immune system.
