Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My outer three fingers on my right hand have been getting sudden sharp pains when I grip things. I believe this started from overuse especially with handheld power tools. I have started physical therapy and we are stretching the the ulnar nerve and muscles around it. After my 5th session, I now have that pain most of the time and it extends from my fingers to my elbow. I stopped the recommended 6 times a day stretch after my last session because I am now getting that sudden sharp pain very often, from the slightest action. Does this seems like the correct action? Is there more reading I can do? I have a PhD in chemistry, so have some understanding of technical reports.
