My Wife Was Just Released From The Hospital. She Has

My wife was just released from the hospital. She has extensive pain in her lower back (left side). She has had a cat scan, nuclear imaging, and a MRI. After all these tests the Dr's thought it might be spine arthritis and sent her home with hydrocodone pills for pain. She can hardly walk and is bedridden most of the time. She is 74 yrs old. Besides getting another opinion ASAP is there anything else that will help with the pain?
