Neck Dark Compared To Face, Used Herbal Bleach, Whitening Milk Scrub And Some Cream

hi, my neck is quite dark compared to face and i go for treatments every Saturday and since my neck has improved a lot. but i couldn t go this week, so i thought of bleaching my neck on my own. i used a herb bleach and left it on for about 45 minutes. after washing it of my neck is completely black. i ve got no idea what went wrong. i immediately used a whitening milk scrub and put some cream on it. it remains the same. what should i do to treat it and how long will it take to go back to my original colour? i ve got fair face, and my shoulders and body is also fair for an Indian. now my neck is black. what should i do?

Hallo
thanks for the concern
this may be because of allegic reaction of bleach , before using any new product you should apply a bit on your back of ear and test if no allergic actions then use them .
so now dont apply any cosmetics on the area ,none will help in reducing blackness. you have to consult a dermatologist for treatment and further opinion.
take care

Dermatologist Dr. Kruti's  Response
hello,

i can understand your concern.

its an allergic reaction to the bleach most likely.

i would recommend that you apply mometasone furoate cream over it twice a day for a week. this will help the inflamation to settle down.

take tab. levocetrizine 5 mg once at night for a week in case of itching.

once the reaction subsides, you can allow the skin to heal, after around 2 weeks, if its still dark, you can use glycolic acid 6% cream at night on the affected areas.

regards
