Neck In Pain, Spreading To Elbows. Is A Cervical MRI Necessary?

I have been having alot of pain down the right side of my neck going to my right shoulder blade and traveling almost down to my right elbow , just stopping short. Recently had an MRI on my right shoulder and Thoracic, and also my lumbar , both showing nothing, was told by Doctor whom I dont have alot of faith in because he works for the insurance company that no more MRI s will be done, but have been told by other that a cervical MRI should be done.. Please help

Hi
pain in the shoulder radiating to the elbow with tingling and numbness is matter of concern. you said already you have an MRI checked by doctor, if you are not sure about the diagnosis you can check again by sending the scan report. your age and type of work reflects the signs and symptoms if it is mild you can go for physiotherapy with prescribed analgesics. with no radiological changes i mean defect in MRI, i think you need not bother much with your problem, if it is obstructing your day to day activity than you are very much in need of detailed evaluation of your problem.
