Neck Pain Along The Base Of My Skull, Unable To Turn Neck, Pain On Swallowing. Treatment?

I have had strong pain in my neck , along the base of my skull , since Wednesday. It has inccreasingly got more intense, even throbbing. It feels worse when I raise my head up, but the pain is always there. I cannot turn to the left or right hardly at all. Even when I swallow , I feel the pain at the back of my neck. What could this be?

Hi, i feel you have severely sprained your neck. A soft neck collar would benefit you with some pain killers and muscle relaxants. If the pain is radiating to your either of the upper limbs get checked by a orthopedic or spine doctor. Take care.
