Neck Pain, Headache. Quit Smoking Cigarettes, Marijuana. Treatment?

I have been having strange aches in my neck , sometimes the ache travels to other parts of my neck and my head, I recently just quit smoking cigarettes and marijuana. I tthought the marijuan was the problrem but the aches are still there, I ve been to several different doctors and my primary physician and none of them could figure what was causing these neck aches. There is no pain when I drink liquid or swallow food.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. The neck pain and headaches are not related to your quitting cigarettes or marijuana and infact may be withdrawals, however you are on your path to recovery and may need to be symptomatically treated for these disorders by consulting a psychiatrist. I also believe that you are going to be able to find help locally with a doctor that is qualified to treat these symptoms if you cannot find a substance abuse disorder specialist treating psychiatrist. I hope you do so as soon as possible.

I hope this helps. Take care of yourself and have a lovely day!
