Need Advice On Hair Straightening.

Hi, I got a perm done an year back... and now i have straight natural hair on the top and bottom half of the hair are curly. i am planning to get hair straightening done as my hair looks ugly now. My hair elasticity is in a good condition. Shall i go for it?
