Need Medication For A Lump At The Back Of The Heel
Hi I have a lump on the back of my heel, it sits directly at the back and doesn't necessarily hurt but it is very itchy. It's about the size of a couple of peas and I have had it for a while but thought it was a blister. It's definitely not a blister, it's hard but can e moved, a bit like cartilage thank u
Hello! Thank you for using healthcaremagic. The lump that you have seems to be a corn, which is hardening of the skin, particularly at areas of pressure. It can be treated by medicated ointments or plasters that will remove the dead skin overlying the thickening, and help in removing the corn more easily. Do not attempt to cut or shave away corns at home. This can lead to potentially dangerous infection of the surrounding tissues. This should be performed by a podiatrist or other health-care professional. Thank you and have a happy health!
