Need Medication For A Small Burn On The Face

Hello Sir,

I got a small burn on my face skin by hair straightening rod. I applied Burnheal cream for a week and the burnt skin is removed now. However, I got a small pink spot around 3 cm on that area. Please suggest what should I apply now to remove that spot.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

You seem to have debveloped post-inflammatory hypopigmentation/depigmentation, which is very common after a burn.

Rather than using melacare which would is actually given to lighten hyperpigmentation, I would suggest that you use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream twice daily OR a topical immunomodulator e.g tacrolimus ointment twice daily for a few days. Either of them would be effective in inducing repigmentation from existing hair follicles
