Need Medication For Burnt Skin Around The Incision To Stitch Together

I had a fasciotomy done 3 weeks ago. I had an allergic reaction to the steristrips and it burned the skin around the incision. The docs said they couldn t stitch it due to the burnt skin. I want to minimize scarring and the incision is still not closed. Is there an alternative to bring the skin together?

Hi,


You seem to have developed an allergic skin disease.
You should avoid applying any kind of skin irritants like dettol, spirit over it.

You might need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area twice a day for few days.
Take some oral antihistamines along.
See a nearby dermatologist if the condition tends to persist despite this therapy.
You might need a course of oral steroids.
