Need Medication For Cylindrical Power On Both Eyes

hi doc

our son is 3.5 year old and has been detected with cylindrical power in both eyes. 3.5 in one and 2.5 in another. could you please suggest diet modification and lifestyle issues that could have lead to this issue. also he uses laptop for learning cd's should we stop this as well.. will sun gazing help?

Hello
It seems from the history that your three and a half year old son is having refractive error in both the eyes and it is 3.5 and 2.5. This indicates that he is having astigmatism.
There is no medical drug to improve or to treat this, the treatment is by use of spectacles after refraction and correction.
The progression can be minimized by regularly wearing the spectacles, regular follow up at least once in a year with optometrist to find out the changes in refraction and correction accordingly, use of Vitamin A rich foods.
