Need Prognosis For Diabetic Patient With Cataracts, High ESR And Chest Problems

Hi , My mother aged 72 had a masectomy done in 2002 to remove two malignant nodes in her right breast. She had taken the tablets(x1/day) for 5+3 yrs post her surgery. Recently she had an eye surgery done for a cataract problem since when she was not feeling too well and had a ESR done which shows a high count also she is diabetic and is on insulin. She also has developed cough and her chest xray isnt too good...further test have been adviced. I received this information from my sister and have to get further details. However based on the preliminary information can you please tell me the gravity of the problem on hand.

hello,

prognosis can only be explained if the complete data is at hand. preliminary data shows a diabetic patient with chest infection.
ESR is elevated in infections. please get an hba1c done and consult your doctor to assess her need for hospital admission and rule out any serious patho eg pneumonia.

thanks
