Need To Know About Heart Attack. Painful, Time To Die After Attack?
Hello,
My mother just passed away 2weeks ago from a massive heart attack. I was just wondering if heart attacks are normally painful, if she suffered a great deal and about how long does it take a person after having a heart attack to die. She was dead about 8hours before anyone found her and when they saw her there was foam on her face she vomitted up her drink and her tongue was black.

Its unfortunate that you lost your mother recently.
Yes normally heart attack is painful. It may be painless in certain cases like diabetics, very old age, hypertensives or people having nerve disorders.
It is not 100% that once a person has heart attack he/she will die. Even without any treatment, they may survive.
Death can occur as quickly as 3 minutes after a massive heart attack.

Really saddened to hear that your mother passed away suddenly.Usually heart attacks are very painful.It is the cry of the heart muscles for more blood.The pain is also typical in majority of the cases.But atypical presentations do occur especially in diabetics,elderly and females.These can include sudden shortness of breath, giddiness and sometimes even a vague symptoms as tiredness.Sometimes heart attacks can be completely silent also.
There is no definite time frame for a patient with a heart attack to die.They can die within minutes, or within hours ,or within days or within months.In some cases they may not die at all ,even without any treatment. It is a very unpredictable and a devastating event.
