I used to have a condition when I was a baby which I had an operation for it s most common in baby boys and was noticed when I was sicking up all my bottles it sounds like piosisarosis or something similar i want to find out more but carnt find the Correct spelling ?
Hello and welcome to HCM, I can understand from your description that as a child you had vomiting milk ('sicking up all my bottles'). Vomiting up milk during infancy is seen in condition called hypertrophic pyloric stenosis. This condition is common in boys. This occurs due to hypertrophy of the opening which leads from stomach to small intestine. Due to this obstruction, the food is not able to pass from stomach to intestine and it regurgitates back into the esophagus and leads to vomiting. This condition is corrected by surgical division of the pylorus.
