Need Treatment For Visible Knot In The Vein With Pain

I caught a fast softball about three weeks ago and thought at first I just bruised the vein in my hand. It has progressively gotten more tender and has a visable knot in the vein. The more I use my hand the bigger this knot gets and is painful to the point where even my arm starts hurting, I'm wondering if this may have caused a blood clot in my vein and if I should go to the doctor to have it checked out?

There is no knotting of veins after the injury.Actually it is the blood that collects around the vein after the injury Veins are thin walled so liable to get injured.Avoid injury.Complete rest to the hand for a week.
