Niggle Pains On The Chest Under The Breast Throughout The Day. Family History Of Heart Disease. Is It A Symptom?
hi im a 37 yr old woman ive been having on and off niggly pains just off the centre of my chest under the left breast for the past week ive noticed them more when im relaxing but today ive had them for most of the day my dad had his first heart attack at 37,quadruple bypass at 40 i feel stupid to bother my doctors over this as i dont feel unwell
Dear Ma'm A pain which comes on exertion, is behind the breastbone and relives by rest is likely to be anginal or heart related. A pain which is not increasing or provoked by exercise, increases by certain posture, touch or pressing, can be localized to a finger tip, increases by deep breathing is not likely to be anginal. If you have a persistent pain please see your doctor and proceed accordingly. It may not be related to heart but still needs evaluation. Sincerely Sukhvinder
