Night Sweats Affecting The Sleep. Taking Escitalopram For Depression. Smokes Marijuana. Need Help

hi, my partner has a lot of night sweats ad its really affecting his sleep and moods. he is on 40mg escitalopram daily for depression and smokes a lot of marijuana. he is approx 160cm tall and 62kg. is there any medications which would help with the sweating? its affecting our relationship. we also have a 4 month old baby so sleeping is erratic for us both.

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Night sweats are an adverse effect of smoking marijuana. Also if you are taking escitalopram for depression you might not be getting adequate response to the medication due to smoking this substance. I recommend that for your as well as your baby's health you stop smoking marijuana. I also think you might need a psychiatrist to consult with for adjusting the dose of your medication.
