Night Sweats, Sleeplessness, Sticky Hands, Prickly Feeling In Face, Shortness Of Breath. Have Sciatica. Suggestions?

Hi, I have had night sweats for a few weeks, sleeplessness( 6hrs of broken sleep max), feel my heart beating in chest, clammy sticky hands, and prickly feeling in face neck legs and arms, like a "mozzie bitting" sort of feeling.. feeling pretty avg most of time too. Shortness of breath sometimes too,
Health wise, I do smoke, and I have sciatica down both legs...

Hi and thanks for the query,

I do believe you might need a more in depth clinical review. Night sweats and shortness of breath deserve that pulmonary tuberculosis, or tuberculosis of another area of the body be checked for. Some inflammatory diseases or autoimmune diseases, and tumors in some rare cases could also present as such. A chest X ray to check for the state of the lungs and the heart are advisable to get done.

I would suggest a complete clinical review to check for lung, heart, liver, kidney diseases including any possible tumor of systemic or autoimmune disease. It might be very difficult and unproductive making diagnosis without a proper physical examination done by your doctor. I do suggest you consult preferably an internist. Thanks and hope this helps.
