Nipple Discharge. Using IUD. Done PAP Smear

My 23 year old daughter began having discharge from her nipples on breasts 12 months ago. She had her annual pap smear last week and told the doctor this has not gone away in over a year, since he last saw her. He sent her to a breast specialist at the Maine Breast Cancer Center. She had been on the IUD for over 3 years and recently, about 2 months ago got it removed and got a patch. I'm worried something is really wrong. She just began her career as an R.N., got her B.S.N. and works at a hospital (4 months now). She asked her aunt who is a nurse to go with her and never asked me her mom.. Why do you think she would do this? b

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
A mild clear discharge from the breast with no pain or palpable lumps in the breast is not worrisome. This can happen due to a mild hormonal disturbance or frequent breast stimulations.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
