Hi,
I understand your problem.
You have a condition called primary
amenorrhea that is absence of periods from birth. There are several causes for this.
It may occur due to problems in a gland in the brain called pituitory that secretes all the hormones responsible for periods.
Genetic defects like Kallmans syndrome or turners syndrome. These are due to defects in the chromosomes or genes leading to undeveloped, less developed or unresponsive reproductive organs. In some cases the ovaries are not responsive to the hormones that cause
menstruation and so periods do not occur.
You have mentioned that you menstruated for one day after you received injections. This suggest that the
uterus is in place and is responsive to hormones. So what needs to be seen is what is the defect that is stopping periods.
When patients with similar complaints come to my clinic, my first step is a complete clinical examination to know about the reproductive system as well as development of breast and other sexual characters like genital hair etc. After that, an
ultrasound examination to see the size of uterus and ovaries along with a complete
hormonal evaluation needs to be done to arrive at a proper diagnosis.
I suggest that you consult a good gynecologist at the earliest and get yourself examined.
Hope you find this helpful. Feel free to consult me whenever you need.
Thanks for the question and for using HCM.
