No Pregnancy Inspite Of Unprotected Sex. Don't Understand Why And How

Hi I just ended my period and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend but the been two days sends my period has been gone and its back again and it actually fresh blood and I been off of depo for about 8 in a half months I've had unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a long time and no pregnancy has ever happens then my period came back from unprotected sex out of know where and I don't understand why if you can help me that would be great thank you

I understand how anxious and frustrating it is not to get pregnant and more so when you really wish to.

Please, having unprotected intercourse doesn't mean you will get pregnant. Having unprotected intercourse during your fertile period increases the chances but by itself cannot guarantee pregnancy. Getting pregnant is a game of luck and has no clear cut rules. Others may get pregnant the first time, others may take many months before getting there. This is the reason why we allow at least one year for partners who have sex regularly(at least 3times in a week) without protection before ever investigating them for infertility.

You have been 81/2months off depo, it means you are not yet ripe to be investigated for any other causes of infertility. Please, be patient, continue trying and if after 1year your are still unable to get pregnant, then you may want to contact your doctor.

I wish you get this desired pregnancy the earliest possible but I also advice that you exercise patience not to spend finances prematurely.
