Non Productive Cough, Have To Cough Hard To Clear Throat. Consulted Doctors, No Improvement. Any Ideas?

Hello, I suffer from a non productive cough constantly. I have seen an allergist, a throat specialist, and a pulmonary specialist. No one seams to be able to help me. This cough is only getting worse - and louder. Seems like I have to cough hard to clear my throat. I am sure its nasal drainage, if I take Sudafed every 3 hours it helps, but I am not comfortable taking it so often. Do you have any ideas?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Sudafed ( pseudoephedrine) is a symptomatic relief provider.
Since cough is non productive , so in my opinion may be due to asthmatic allergic bronchitis.
Avoidance of mold, dust mite, pollen, fumes, powder , smoking will help you.
In my opinion consult one more doctor/ physician and get his treatment .
