Nose Injury, Deviated Septum, Headache. Should I Be Concerned?
My horse hit my nose 2 weeks ago; bloody nose, mild swelling, no black eyes, tip of nose still tender, constant headaches . I have a small bump on right side of nose, but nose doesn t look crooked. I have a deviated septum and always suffer from headaches, but these headaches are stronger and Aleve doesn t help. Should I be concerned or will this just take more time to heal?
Hi Kmccluskey,
Near the tip of the nose, there is Little's area which is highly vascular. So, injury on the nose result in bleeding.
Nasal injury can result in damage to skin, bone or cartilage of the nose.
It will be of help if you get a X-Ray of your nose done.
Please consult an ENT specialist for examination.
Pain killer for pain and antibiotic for any infection can be taken under medical supervision.
Thanks.
