Noticed A Mild Swelling On The Left Side Of The Neck

I have had some mild swelling on the left side of my neck for the last two months .I can tell it is my gland in front of my ear. I found out I have had sarcoidosis for the last 10 years no symptoms just an elevated ACE level. I have no insurance but I can go to a free clinic if I need it.

Hi, u have chronic inflammation of the parotid gland present in front of the ear.
If it is provdn that it is because of sarcoidosis, then don't take any medicine without doctor advise.
Righg now it us asymptomatic so dont worry. If if causes any problems then do consult doctor.

ENT Specialist Dr. Satvinder Bakshi's  Response
Hello

Swelling in front of the ear can be enlarged lymph node or a parotid gland and these are common in sarcoidosis. If you develop dryness of your mouth or cough or fever or any other swelling in your body , you should visit your doctor.other wise you can relax!
Thanks
