Noticed A Painful Lump In The Throat

My daughter suddenly developed a big lump in her throat. Painful. The doc first diagnosed abcess which will be pricked and drained out. When he started the procedure, there was no pus but a lot of blood oozing out. He now says that she needs a catscan. What s happening and why does she need a catscan?

Hello!!
Please dont worry as i cannot tell you much without examining your child. Sudden swelling along with blood indicates there there is a mass and it needs to be evaluated , for this a ct scan is necessary. Please follow yor doctors advice and get it done,
Thanks
