Noticed A Zit On Nasolabial Fold Of Face

Had what I thought to be a forming zit in the nasolabial fold of face. It seemed to be deep in the tissue but I popped it because it was bugging me. Smelly puss came out. This has never happened before, with the smell I mean. I now have puss that forms in the pore where the zit was and clear liquid too. The puss and liquid smell like something is rotting . I squeeze the spot daily to grt rid of the smell coming from the pore..how do I treat this?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for zit on nasolabial fold of face. It can be part of Acne or pimples which are youth related problem and is not a disease per say.

In your kind of cases I generally prescribe a Gel containing clindamycin phosphate 1.2% w/w and tretinoin 0.025% w/w amongst which tretinoin has more of irritation potential and can cause mild to moderate redness along with flaking and peeling of skin. The only precaution you should follow is to apply the cream in very thin layer and that too over affected area only.

Take a proper guidance and follow up with a good dermatologist so that all the problem of acne can be dealt best for future time.

Take care
