Noticed Continuous Building Of Saliva After Frequent Expelling Out

Thank you for the opportunity. Saliva builds up as soon as I manage to expel it, which is usually quite difficult. I often resort to brushing my teeth to allow the toothpaste to dislodge the thickened saliva. Have had this for about a year. Acid re -flux is extremely rare- not more than once in 3-4 months. Have tried nexium , but no effect other than , possibly, drooling when asleep. Thank you. Ali

Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,
There are many reasons of excessive salivation like GIT disturnbance, mouth ulcers, liver disease, oral infections, use of certain medications.
I would suggest you to get an complete oral and physical examination done.
Anticholenergic drugs can be given.
At home take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses.

Hope you find this as helpful.
